The District is hereby advising its municipal water users in the Garibaldi Highlands that due to work in the area an unexpected break in one of the pump systems occurred. Residents may notice a slight discolouration in the water due to turbidity, however, there is no need to boil water at this time. The water is being chlorinated and has been tested and is safe to drink.
The District of Squamish is working with the Vancouver Coastal Health’s Drinking Water Officer and will continue to monitor the situation with frequent testing and will keep the public advised if anything changes.
